Introduction / Disclaimers

PLEASE READ THIS GUIDE IN ITS ENTIRETY.

This document is intended to serve as a guide to help users protect their phone data. Due to recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions, people seeking abortion services in some states are in danger of being prosecuted. It is our fervent desire to help individuals avoid prosecution for exercising their innate human rights.

This document is, to the best of our ability, correct. However, it should be considered "as-is" and used at your own risk. Digital forensics is a rapidly evolving field - forensic researchers are constantly developing new tools and techniques to access phone data. Please stay informed as to advances in these areas.

We receive no compensation whatsoever from the applications and services recommended - they have been selected based on cost (preferably free), functionality, and the reputation of the developers. Please know that other applications and services may be just as effective.

Many times throughout this document we refer to law enforcement needing a warrant to obtain information. Under certain circumstances they do not need a warrant to obtain information - they can use an Emergency Data Request (EDR). EDRs are designed to allow law enforcement agencies to obtain critical information in life-or-death situations (i.e. kidnapping). Unfortunately, law enforcement could use EDRs in an attempt to prevent individuals seeking an abortion from doing so, preventing the very minimal oversight afforded by the court system.
